What are Cover Markings?

Cover markings cover the Sindows body entirely, the only markings that will show over it are white markings! They are not affected by any genes and can show on ANY Sindow type.

Mutations will show with or over Cover markings. So if you have a chimera, you'll have a partial cover marking and a second geno listed. If you have a Sindow with bloodmarks, the bloodmarks will show on the cover marking. The same with Bend-or spots.

Cover markings are based off of real life animals that Sindows don't typically look like. So, if ordering a custom with a cover marking you will not be able to order horse cover markings or big cat cover markings. i.e a cheetah or a black overo mustang. These markings can be created with what the Sindow has already. You will be told whether or not your cover making animal/insect is okay.

Some Sindows may take on characteristics or even make sounds like their cover marking as genetically there is some of that animal in their DNA.

Pass Rate: Cover markings are a rarer marking type.
Heterozygous = 20% pass
Homozygous = 40% pass

What are Genetic Lines?

Each Sindow descends from a certain progenitor or group of progentors for their species. These progenitors are named after the founding family in which bred it (i.e Rainier, Breckingridge, Monroe, etc...) or after a Sindow Sindow (i.e Thyra, Nicomedes, Edison etc...)

Genetic Lines give bonus's to stats as certain lines are associated with certain stats and disciplines. They are also important for the Pedigree Test for breeding. Depending on how well or not well your Sindow matches it's line, it may score better or worse.

Genetic Lines are always passed down from the sire, no matter what type of Sindow it is or the gender of Sindow the progenitor was. So, you may have a standard Sindow with an 'oriental' line because somewhere, there was an Oriental sire in it's lineage. There are Official Lines and Street Lines for each type of Sindow, with Standard, Draft, and Variant being grouped of course.

Depending on how you want to play your game, you can breed strictly within the same line to boost stats and get good Pedigree scores or just do what you want. Genetic lines will not effect your Sindow negatively.

Pure Line Offspring: These Sindows are Sindows that have scored very well in their Pedigree Test for their Breeding Certification Tests. Every Sindow that you own that has scored a 100 points or above is considered a pure line offspring. You will get a bonus 100 SC because of this.

Genetics, Designing, and Design Approval:

If you have a pre-designed Sindow you're good to go, but if you've received a Geno, you'll need to read through some things:
The Design Guide (Genetics)
The Design Approval Guide

The Basics:

Now that you have an uploaded Sindow, what's next?

I would first familiarize yourself with the AP System and the Stat System, so you know what you're earning and why.
Art Point System [AP]:iconThe-Sindow-Group:
What are Art Points?
Art points are earned whenever you draw or write about your Sindow. They are collected and kept track of to rank up your Sindow, which will give your Sindow stat points as well. Ranking up your Sindow also determines how many offspring it can have.
:bulletgreen: ALL Sindows start out with 0 AP (Novice). AP is the amount of art/lit your Sindow has done for it. (Stat points are a different type of points for Sindows, but they are connected. Read below in the Ranking up section.)
:bulletgreen: AP are not passed down to offspring.
Art Point Guide:
This shows how many points you get for your art or writing plus bonus's! You'll take a look at your art and go through, adding up your AP according to what you have done. If you're ever not sure what your art qualifies as, just note the group!
Below is a chart showing the percentage of which is which for headshot, bust, half body, half body, 70-80%, a
  Stat Point System (SSP):iconThe-Sindow-Group:
What are Stats?:
Every Sindow is born with stat points! They are earned through Rank ups AND from competing in the Showing and Working activities as well as Monthly Shows! They help determine how well your Sindow does in competitions.
:bulletgreen: To learn about Ranking up (which is done through AP) go to the AP journal first: Art Point System [AP]
:bulletgreen: The base stats for ALL sindows range between 8-20 SSP.
:bulletgreen: Stat points are passed down to offspring, so if you're trying to breed for stats, make sure your Sindows have nearly matching stat points or one parent has higher stats.
:bulletgreen: Disciplines have certain stats associated with them. So having your Sindow compete in a discipline that it has matched with stat wise is the best route.
New System Stats vs Old System:
:bulletred: Alot of Sindow imports s

After this, it's best to look through these info journals so there is no accidental confusion.

The Log System:iconThe-Sindow-Group:
What is the Log System?
The Log System is the series of comments on your Sindows import sheet. It is typically taken care of by admin, save for a couple things: breeding reservations and geno ownership transfer, these two things are taken care of by the owner of the Sindow. You may also post your Sindows tracker underneath the LOG comment.
You can take a look at Arie here and check out how her Log is set up:

:bulletgreen: Again, you only comment on the log system to reserve a breeding slot for another user to your Sindow. You will also only comment on the log system to transfer a geno that your female Sindow has produced to another user. And again you can post your tracker under the log.
Trainings: Any training your Sindow does will be posted here by Admin with their score IF the training is scored!
Breedings: This is where your breedings are posted and where you mak
  Health and Injuries:iconThe-Sindow-Group:
Can my Sindow get injured during group events and activities?
Yes, Sindows have a small chance (15%) at getting injured while exploring, showing, and working. They have a slightly large chance of getting injured during monthly shows. They will not get injurted during holiday events or special events.
How is Sindow health kept track of?
Each Sindow has a health bar in their Import sheet, under their personality. It'll look like this 100/100 HP. Each injury type has a certain amount of Health Points (HP) it'll take away when your Sindow is injured. This is done by admin, though if you want, you can also put it in your Sindows tracker.
What are the types of injuries?
There are three types of injuries, minor, major, and severe.
Minor: -5 Health ( small cuts, scrapes, and bruises)
Major: -15 health (punctures, large bruises, deep cuts, torn muscles/ligaments)
Severe - 30 health (lacerati
  The Vet:iconThe-Sindow-Group:
The Vet's office provides a variety of services!
Healing:
You may pay the Vet with Sindow Coins to heal your Sindow. For every 5 HP needed to heal your Sindow, you'll need to pay 5,000 SC. You may choose how many HP you earn for your Sindow. To find other ways to heal your Sindow, go here: Health and Injuries
To Pay the vet, respond here: https://comments.deviantart.com/1/734192399/4561520209
Sterilization:
Sterilization is the act of disabling your Sindow's ability to have offspring. Why do this? Well, it doubles each stat of your Sindow, making them great for showing and competing and bringing in the money! You may sterilize both female and male Sindows.
You may pull straws (info below) before you sterilize your Sindow, just in case you might want offspring from that Sindow.
Sterilization is PERMANENT! You will not be able to undo it once it is done! It sho
  Handler FAQ:bulletgreen:Do I need a handler:bulletgreen:
Yes, you don't need to create an official ref sheet or anything, but you need at least one handler. Having a ref sheet will help others draw your handler if need be, though, so it's always nice to have one around.
:bulletgreen:Does my handler have to be human?:bulletgreen:
No. It can be an alien, an anthropomorphic animal, a creature of some sort, etc....
:bulletgreen:Regarding Feral and Anthro forms: When do I use which and where?:bulletgreen:
General Art: This is just art that you've decided to draw of your Sindow on a whim to get AP. When drawing general art, your handler can be in feral form, you do not have to draw it as an anthro.
Training: If the Sindow is being restrained, carried,  led around, or ridden, then the handler needs to be anthropomorphic. Something standing on two feet and with hands that can hold onto the reins/lead rope/Sindow in general.
Competitions: If the discipline re

Getting Started in Gameplay:

The Sindow universe is set in present day earth, but there are some advances in technology. All kinds of beings (your handlers) interact on a daily basis and has always been this way. There is no division between races, species, etc... just the sentience. More info on this to come...

Where to start:

This depends on what you want to do with your Sindow! Below are some scenarios and I'll get you started in each one!

:bulletgreen:I just want to draw/write about my Sindow in the Sindow universe. I'm not interested in training, showing, or breeding.:bulletgreen:
- Then you already have all the info you need.

- And you can pretty much pick and choose from the options below, say you're not really worried about stats or gaining AP, but want to breed your Sindow. You'll still need to go through Basic training and breeding certification to do so.

:bulletgreen:I want to draw/write about my Sindow and eventually breed it, do some simple activities. Basic group gameplay::bulletgreen:

- First thing is first. You'll need to train your Sindow. Basic Training or Defect training if it has one needs to be done to breed your Sindow.
TrainingWhat is training?
Training is a process that a Sindow goes through to learn basic obedience and skills.
Is this training for all types of Sindow?
Yes, no matter your type of Sindow, training is the same.
Will my Sindow need to be trained to breed?
Yes, it'll need to be trained.
How do training images count for AP?
The training image counts for the amount of AP you feel like doing. (no more set AP)
How training works:
Official or unofficial; training is still the same. You will follow three prompts and then your entries will be judged. You need to complete all THREE prompts, not just one or two.
Obedience [Prompt 1]: Your Sindow and it's handler are just getting to know one another and the Sindow needs to be taught the basic commands if it's going to be handled in any manner. You can illustrate your handler and Sindow working through any of these commands; sit, sta
Defect TrainingDefect Training only involves Sindows who are born blind, deaf, and/or are missing limbs or have a deformed limb/spine.
Each type of disability requires training. So, if your Sindow is blind and deaf, you must complete training for each. There are four tiers to each disability and each are roughly the same, it’s just how you apply it.
Sindows with missing limbs can compete, but those with deformed spines, like a curve that would not allow a saddle or a bent neck that makes their head tilt at an angle are not going to be able to compete, so, they only have to complete the first two tiers.
:bulletblue:Tier One: The Disability:bulletblue:
Blindness:
Blind Sindows may have trouble getting around or finding the exact spot to lay down. Draw or write about your handler discovering your Sindows disability. Blind Sindows may be terribly shy since they can’t see you. They might be really skittish and flighty, causing more damage to themselves.

- After Basic Training you'll need to get it certified to breed.
Breeding Certification TestsBreeding Certification Tests show that your Sindow is healthy and fits into line standards before it breeds. Only the pedigree test is mandatory while the vet check is optional, but gives you a good bonus.
Pedigree Test:

The pedigree test consists of two parts. One is a drawn or written piece. (Drawn is typically easier here). The art or writing must depict your Sindow standing in a show ring or a beautiful location. It can be indoors or outdoors. They can be without tack or with fancy dress tack. This tack should not be a saddle or block most of the Sindows body. Typically it is just a fancy halter or collar. They will be standing in front of a judge, but you do not have to show that. You don't have to show any handlers or people, just the Sindow looking magnificent. The weather situation is also up to you.
This image is judged on effort, impact, and line score.
The next part is the line test.
All Sindows descend from the first Sindows developed by the founding fam

  Inbreeding:bulletgreen:Inbreeding Guide for Sindows:bulletgreen:
When breeding, it’s important to pay attention to how closely your Sindows are related! If they are brother and sister, mother and offspring, or even have the same close relatives can result in different levels of inbreeding and most of all, increase your chances of health risks.
:bulletred::bulletred: You are responsible for figure out the inbreeding % of the pair of Sindows you want to breed! It is no longer done by individual Sindow! So, follow this guide and when you're ready to breed your Sindows, you'll see there is now a Inbreeding Coefficient of Pair: posted underneath the dams info on the breeding comment set up.
:bulletred: If you do not have this posted in your breeding, it will be overlooked and I will move onto the next one if the breeding season is busy. If it's not too busy, I will remind you, but i'll only do it once or twice before I'm done keeping after you to follow the rules.

- And to do some of the simple activities, you may need to choose a discipline:
Disciplines:iconThe-Sindow-Group:
What are disciplines?
A discipline is like a job for your Sindow! You don't have to pick a discipline if you do not want to, especially if you just want your Sindow to be a general pet to go on rides and be there for companionship.
Discipline Divisions:
Firstly, they are divided by Sindow type, so PLEASE pay attention to your Sindows type and if they can have that discipline.
Disciplines are divided into four categories, Official or Unofficial and Showing or Working. Depending on the type of lifestyle your Sindow has and what you want it to take part in, you can choose how many disciplines you want!
Showing Disciplines vs. Working disciplines: Showing disciplines are for show purposes only, like racing, steeplechase, halter etc... Working disciplines are where work is actually done, like Therapy, police work, etc...
Below are ALL the disciplines available with their core stats shown!
<

After this, what you do is up to you. Getting your Sindow ranked up (through the earning of AP) and bettering it's stats are also pretty basic gameplay components.

You can also participate in simple activities that are mostly for fun and an easy way to earn Sindow Coins and other rewards.
ShowingWhat is Showing?
:bulletgreen: Showing consists of drawing or writing a piece of art depicting your Sindow taking part in it's discipline. It will go against ghost competitors or, you may put up to three Sindows of the same discipline and stat level in the same piece to have them compete against one another. There will still be two ghost competitors.
:bulletgreen: There are no deadlines. You draw or write about your Sindow showing any time you want, any place, and in any weather situation. Each piece counts as a single show.
:bulletgreen: You will get rewards for your placing and sometimes stats!
:bulletgreen: You will need a showing comment in your tracker journal or a separate showing journal to get your results.
:bulletpurple: The difference between this and the other shows is that this is a simple activity meant for simple AP/SC/SSP gain without much effort. It is different from the Working Activity only because showing h
Working[on a side note, this is the first time I've made a system like this, so depending on how well this goes it may be edited or changed over time]
What is Working?
How does working work?
:bulletgreen: You will draw or write about your Sindow going about their work day.
:bulletgreen: Depending on your Sindows core stats and level, they will have different chances at having different outcomes for their work days.
:bulletgreen: You may put up to three Sindows in each piece, no matter their level. As long as they have the same discipline, they'll be okay.
:bulletgreen: It is different from the Showing Activity only because showing has to do with Working Disciplines and Showing has to do with showing disicplines.
:bulletgreen: Each Sindow has their own outcomes rolled.
:bulletgreen: Each work day has three outcomes:
Successful, Mediocre, and Terrible
Level 1 stats:
50% Successful
25% Mediorce
25% Terrible
Level 2 stats:
60% Suc
  ExploringWhat is Exploring?
Exploring is an activity that allows your Sindow to earn items that can be traded in for SC! You may even get random stats or shop items!
Explorations are funded by the SREA or Mellavesa family. They set up areas in each location for the explorations to happen. You may keep what you find in these areas and trade it in for money at the end of the exploration! Some of these items are probably really worthless in real life, but this is for fun, just remember thatXD
How to Explore:
Exploring is done in general, well known areas. You can choose whatever area you want to explore in and draw/write about your Sindow(s) and handler exploring. More may be added over time! Some areas are more specific than others. But you choose the place in the location you want there will not be a extremely specific place, like at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt. You can explore anywhere in Egypt.
:bulletgreen: You must have an explor

:bulletgreen:Monthly Quest Rules:bulletgreen:
- You can submit as many entries as you like, there is no cap on entries, but there may be a cap on some rewards, especially if there is a special item or companion.
- Rewards are earned per entry, not per Sindow
- Art must be colored at least + background. Sindow(s) pictured must have 50% or more of it's body showing
- Writing must be more than 500 words
- You can put up as many as 4 Sindows in the piece.
- All monthly quest entries will give a bonus 5 SSP to each Sindow depicted + the SSP for the art or writing.

:bulletgreen:I would like to do all of the above + get into showing my Sindow and making a career for it! I want it allllll! :bulletgreen:

This is another level to gameplay. You can start a Career for your Sindow! This information is all pertienent to careers:
Career FAQ:iconThe-Sindow-Group:
What is a Sindows Career?:
If you want to delve into a slightly more integrated gameplay, you can create and keep track of a career for your Sindow. There are two types of shows that effect your Sindows career, Special Shows and Monthly Shows. The Showing activity has nothing to do with this, as the showing activity is mainly for fun, something short and sweet to get quick AP and SC for your Sindow.
You do not have to create a career for your Sindow, but these activities will have higher SC payouts and AP prizes. Placings should be kept track of in a career journal (you can keep it's career stuff in it's main tracker or make a separate one). These shows will also have random factors, such as buck offs, injuries, refusals, etc... completing career training can keep these from happening.
What's the difference between the Show types?:
:bulletgreen: The only thing that has to be done in order to
  Career Training

Career Training
Career training is OPTIONAL however, if can prevent some bad RNG situations during Special Shows and Monthly Shows such as buck offs, refusals, and injury.
Each discipline has it's own set of trainings. Some may be similar, but they still need to be done for that discipline. These images or writing pieces are not judged and do not have to be something you've slaved over for weeks. They give you access to the rest of your Sindows career as well as some bonus's!
Disciplines and Trainings are listed here:

Requirements/Rules:

- you may depict up to 3 Sindows in your piece IF they have the same discipline
- If you only have one handler, the piece needs to make sense as in if they are doing race training and you depict two Sindows. Both Sindows need a handler riding them. You can make up a random handler, just as long as it makes sense.
- At least 50% of the handler(s) must be shown. 80% of each Sindow
  Associations:iconThe-Sindow-Group:
Associations are groups within the Sindow world that support a different aspect of it. You will be able to join associations and receive a small bonus for doing so once you have applied. Each association has different requirements for joining.
The Sindow Racing and Eventing Association (SREA)

This Association supports the Officially Bred Standard, Variant, and Draft Sindows with classical disciplines of Sprint Racing, Cross Country, Steeplechase, Dressage, Show Jumping, and Halter.
Requirements for Joining the SREA:
- Sindow must be Officially bred, official papers do not count
- Sindow must be Standard, Variant, or Draft
- Sindow must only be disciplined in the list above, meaning it can have any of the above as a discipline, but no others
- Sindow must have Basic Training and Career Training done
How to Join:
- draw or write about your Sindow participating in a random show - this must be completely new artwork, not something reus

The Groomer can give you bonus's for showing which will help further your Sindows career :

The GroomerVisit the groomer before a show and earn bonus's! However, you must bring your own supplies! Depending on the quality of the supplies, you'll get a different bonus. You may use the bonus's for monthly shows, SREA shows and stable competitions (if they allow items).

So what's left?

Just some little tidbits of info:

Creating a StableCreating a stable is optional, but it's also a great way to keep track of your Sindows and make your own little community.
Here is my stable for example: http://fav.me/d9hbm0q
What you can do:
- Make a journal for your stable
- Make a group for your Stable
- Make a stable abbrevation (ie, Rainier Stables is RS)
- You can let others join and create common breeding/stat goals for your Sindows
- Affiliate with other stables, create common breeding goals as well
- you can let members of your stable or affiliates of your stable have special access to breeding deals and slots before others in the group are
- You can make naming rules for Sindows. This includes prefixes/suffixes, your stable abbreviation, offspring of a Sindow getting certain names, for example. Rameses is an Egyptian name so all offspring must have Egyptian names.
- If you make a stable you can keep it personal and to yourself, you can make a stable with a certain group of friends, or you can take on anybody wil

  The Wishing Well:bulletgreen:RULES:bulletgreen:
- In order to use the wishing well, you need to be a member of The-Sindow-Group
- You will need to have one of the following tokens in order to access the wishing well!

- Now, wishes are calculated in rolls by a random number generator. They are not actual 'wishes' so don't say you wish for a silky coated Sindow with rare markings. (Or a ham sandwich for that matter.)
- Each token allows you so many wishes.
Bronze = 2 Wishes (Common)
Silver = 4 Wishes (Uncommon
Gold = 6 Wishes (Rare)
Platinum = 8 Wishes (Very Rare)
Diamond = 10 Wishes (Unicorn)
- The wishes may earn you items or Sindow coins, as well as more tokens, but they may also result in nothing at all.
- The rarity of the items you may pull up depends on the rarity of the token itself.
- Here are the rarity tiers and what you can get
- Every wish has a 50% chance of earning you nothing and a 50% chance of earn

:bulletpurple: Have a suggestion for me?
:bulletpurple: Just have a question about why I do things a certain way?
Leave them here in the SUGGESTIONS AND QUESTIONS BOX!! (but not really box, just journal)
I decided to do this because I had several people of the last few weeks have had a suggestion(s) and I just wanted everyone to know that it is perfectly okay to leave questions and suggestions, but now I have a special place for it. Feedback is important to me and I may not know that how I do things and run the group may not be all that feasible even liked for that matter. The group is for everyone and I know I can't make everyone happy, but I will try.
Of course, there will be something thing that I'm just not willing to change, like set in stone things. They way Sindows look and what not. But never be afraid to ask about something.
And this is just a general place for suggestions and questions, I'm not going to go nuts if someone comme

Customs are OPEN!

Bullet; Blue The price list below is for adding up your traits and getting the average sale price and for ordering a custom.

Bullet; Blue You can sell your Sindow for whatever price you want, but just understand you're selling yourself short if you sell for less than the custom price, especially if your Sindow has skill points and art done for it.

Bullet; Blue ALL customs, unless under special circumstances, will by untrained, 3 weeks old with 0 AP and Level 1 stats (8-20). They will not have any lineage.

:bulletblue: Since these are trait based customs, there is no cap on how many genes or how many rare genes, etc... that you can have. HOWEVER, there is a max on zygosity. TWO of your genes (not counting base, dilution, or saturation) can be HOMOZYGOUS. The rest will be heterozygous since gene price is not determined by zygosity. You get to choose which ones in your order form.

:bulletblue: All cash payments are USD and done through PAYPAL! I will send you an invoice for customs over $5

Bullet; Blue As for selling, you do not have to sell for points. You can sell for cash, AP, or Sindow coins, or anything else you fancy. Here are some conversions to help you get a good sell price and value of your Sindow.

1 dA Point = 100 Sindow coins
100 dA Points = $1
20 dA points or 2000 SC = 1 SSP  (So a 300 point or 30,000 SC Sindow would cost 15 SSP - divide your Sindows point or SC total by 20 points or SC)

Building your Sindow!

First, and foremost, customs are for points or cash only. You cannot buy a custom for art or anything else.

And just for the sake of general gene rarity (excluding base price):
50 points = common
100 points = uncommon
200 points = Rare
300+points = very rare

Standard, Draft, and Variant Disciplines:

Official Showing Disciplines:

Sprint Racing: [Associated with Speed, Strength, Agility] Sindow sprint racing is done down a long straight stretch. The sprint track is not circular and typically is made out of dirt, but some have grass while others can have sand.

Endurance Racing: [Associated with Stamina, Strength, Agility, Speed] Endurance racing for Sindows behaves just like horse endurance racing. Competitors go through a course that takes days to complete. These courses are normally through tough terrain and always held outdoors. There are check in stations along the way.

Barrel Racing: [Associated with Agility, Speed, Strength] Just like horse barrel racing, but the arena is a little bigger. Events can take place outside or inside, but a Sindow still has to go around three barrels in the fastest time with the lowest amount of faults to win.

Dressage: [Associated with Patience, Acuity, Agility] Just like horse dressage, it's about the bond between rider and Sindow. They perform meticulous tasks and gaits to get the best score.

Show Jumping: [Associated with Speed, Agility, Strength] Just like show jumping in horses, the Sindow must leap over different jumps.

Steeplechase: [Associated with Strength, Agility, Speed, Acuity] It is a a combination of racing and jumping. It’s fast like a sprint race, but competitors have to clear objects such as hedges, fences, and ditch

Reining: [Associated with Agility, Stength, Acuity, Patience] Rough and tough, reining involves a great bond between rider and Sindow as well to complete different tasks and moves.

Halter: [Associated with Patience, Acuity] Halter is all about your Sindow looking pretty. It also has to have good conformation and behavior. It's just like halter class with horses.

Pulling: [Associated with Strength, Stamina, Speed] Pulling loads of cinderblocks of increasing weight. Done singularly, this is a test of strength for any draft. The Sindow to pull the farthest in the shortest amount of time wins.

Pleasure Driving: [Associated with Patience, Acuity, Strength] Done singularly or in teams of up to 4, Drafts are attached to antique carts/carraiges or replicas. They are judged on behavior, performance, and overall appearance of the horses, driver, and cart.

Cow Sorting: [Acuity, Speed, Agility]: two people on Sindows are in charge of sorting cows out of one big group of 10. You stand in a pen of two connected pens. One person is in charge of getting the selected cow through to the other pen, and the other person is in charge of keeping all the incorrect cows out (they stand and block at the center of where the two pens meet). The cows wear neck collars that are numbered 0-9. The first cow number is announced, and then you must sort the cows by number (for example if 3 is called, you sort 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0,1,2)  You have two minutes to sort as many cows as possible. People are allowed to sort twice for their score average. Credit goes to Stripe13

Official Working Disciplines:

Search and Rescue
: [Associated with Strength, Acuity, Stamina, Patience] These Sindows are called in when disasters strike. Sindows have a profound sense of smell and great eyesight, making them great at finding people lost under rubble. Usually it's a team of Sindows with smaller, lighter varieties going into the rubble and larger varieties carrying victims to safe points. Credit goes to xWolfwingx

Therapy: [Associated with Patience, Acuity ] Just like other animals, Sindows make great companions. Big or small, they may light up someone's day. Whether it's teaching disabled kids how to ride or visiting nursing homes and hospitals to bring a smile to someone's face, Sindows of all shapes and sizes are working as therapy Sindows. Credit goes to TalonV

Police Mount: [Associated with Strength, Acuity, Patience] Just as horses can be used as police mounts, Sindow's can too. People might not cower in front of a horse, but some might in front of a Sindow. They have keener eyes, ears, and noses, so criminals better watch out. Credit goes to xWolfwingx

Street Showing Disciplines:

Street Racing: [Associated with Speed, Strength, Agility] Street Racing includes all types of Sindow. Street racing is done illegally of coarse and when it comes to rideable Sindows, drafts, variants, and standards, racing is typically done in a high stakes area such as city streets or grungy back alleys. Illegal racing for orientals and drakens is typically done somewhere where it is mostly hidden, underground arena's, country fields, etc.. The same thing goes for Avians.

Pit Fighting: [Associated with Strength, Stamina, Agility] Pit fighting is always done somewhere secluded, no matter the type. Two Sindows are put in a cage or a pit together and fight until one Sindow is too weak to continue. These fights can result in death as some people are quite cruel to their animals.

Street Working Disciplines

Hunting:
[Associated with Acuity, Stamina, and Speed] Hunting animals illegally, hunting people illegally, it doesn't matter. Sindows are fine hunters and can be trained to hunt down people and animals alike. Bounty Hunters are fond of Sindows and their ability to track as well as hunt down targets.

Courier: [Associate with Speed, Acuity, Stamina] (I am in no way promoting drug use or the transportation of drugs, however, this is meant for story purposes.) Smaller Sindows, especially Avians, are used to transport drugs and other illegal items from place to place. These Sindows are highly prized and treated like royalty.

Oriental Disciplines:

Official Showing Disciplines:

Timed Diving: [Associated with Speed, Agility, Stamina] There is are rings placed at the bottom of a pool and the Oriental must dive and get all the rings in the fastest amount of time.

Depth Diving: [Associated with Stamina, Strength, Acuity] An Oriental Sindow can withstand the pressure of deep water, so whoever can dive to the lowest depth and retrieve the ring wins.

Showing: [Associated with Acuity, Patience] Orientals are rarely put in halters, so I'm not going to consider this a Halter type discipline. They are judged on movement, conformation, health, and overall behavior and led around the ring. They are put into class sorted by coat length and markings.

Racing: [Associated with Speed, Agility, Strength] They are pretty swift on land and in water. The track consists of a land stretch and a water stretch. It is fenced in and much like greyhound racing. It's typically straight and has at least 50 yards of land and 60 yards of water.

Agility: [Associated with Agility, Speed, Strength]  Much like dog agility, an Oriental must run alongside their handler and maneuver obstacles in both land and water.

Official Working Disciplines:

Search and Rescue

Sindows have a profound sense of smell and great eyesight, making them great at finding people lost under rubble. Credit goes to TalonV

Law Enforcement: [Associated with Strength, Speed, and Patience] Drakens are smaller, but not big enough to be police mounts so they are generally used like police dogs. They can be trained to sniff for drugs and bombs as well as chase down criminals.

Official Showing Disciplines:

Showing [Associated with Acuity, Patience] - They are led around a ring, just like that of dog showing and are lifted onto a table for the judge to get a better look at them.

Agility  [Associated with Agility, Speed, Strength] They must follow the handler around a set course, just like that in dog agility. Due to the fact that they have horns, things with tubes and rings as well as weave poles are not placed in the arena.

Racing [Associated with Speed, Agility, Strength] - In smaller race tracks, like that in greyhound racing, they are set loose to race around the track. They wear typically wear some sort of colored identifier, like a silk blanket connected at the chest and stomach.

Sport Hunting [ Associated with Acuity, Speed, Agility, Strength] - Draken hunting is done singularly and events are held in the country in places such as meadows, fields, and forests. The prey is designated, typically it's rabbit, fox, squirrel, or quail, before the Draken enters the hunting area. They will wear vests with a radio transmitter so they can be tracked. Hunting events have set time limits. The Draken must bring back the correct prey within 3 hours.

 Official Working Disciplines:

Search and Reascue [Associated with Strength, Acuity, Stamina, Patience] - They are very curious by nature and lighter than other varieties. They do very well in search and rescue, working with their larger cousins frequently as they can get places the others can't. Credit to xWolfwingx

Therapy: [Associated with Patience, Acuity] Just like other animals, Sindows make great companions. Big or small, they may light up someone's day. Whether it's teaching disabled kids how to ride or visiting nursing homes and hospitals to bring a smile to someone's face, Sindows of all shapes and sizes are working as therapy Sindows. Credit goes to TalonV

Law Enforcement: [Associated with Strength, Speed, and Patience] Drakens are smaller, but not big enough to be police mounts so they are generally used like police dogs. They can be trained to sniff for drugs and bombs as well as chase down criminals.

The same thing goes for Avian's.

Avian Disciplines:

Official Showing Disciplines:

Showing: [Associated with Acuity, Patience] This is just like a dog or cat show. They are inspected for overall conformation, behavior, and health. They are also asked to fly from one table to another to show that their wings are in perfect order as well.

Airgility: [Associated with Agility, Speed, Strength] Like dog agility, but in the air. They have to fly through hoops and perform a variety of aerobatic tricks as well, like hovering, twisting or flipping in the air, and aimed diving.

Racing: [Speed, Agility, Strength] Designated tracks are set up. Since Avian's can fly and run on the ground, the race is set up in two parts, flying and running. There are checkpoint hoops to fly through and checkpoints on the ground to meet. If they miss a check point, they get points docked. This is to make sure no one is cheating.

Official Working Disciplines:

Search and Rescue:
[Associated with Strength, Acuity, Stamina, Patience] These Sindows are called in when disasters strike. Sindows have a profound sense of smell and great eyesight, making them great at finding people lost under rubble. Usually it's a team of Sindows with smaller, lighter varieties going into the rubble and larger varieties carrying victims to safe points. Credit goes to xWolfwingx

Law Enforcement: [Associated with Strength, Speed, and Patience] Attack from the air! Avians are small and silent fliers, and often sent in equipped with vests and POV cameras into criminal hide outs. They can also be trained to sniff for drugs and bombs. Avians are also used to chase down criminals, however, they are smaller and lighter than the Draken and not used as often. However, if something the size of a housecat were to hit you at a high rate of speed and blind you with teeth and claws, you might stop running as well.

Gigan Disciplines:

Official Showing Disciplines:

Diving:
[Associated with Speed, Agility, and Strength] This is a discipline that needs a strong bond between handler and Sindow. The team will fly to great heights and then turn at the very apex of their ascent. Typically it is the highest the Sindow can fly without oxygen or icing being a problem. Then then turn and plummet in a nose dive toward the ground as fast as they can go. At the very end of their dive, they are to fly through a large open 'goal' or 'gate', to finish the dive. It just judged on top speed and accuracy.

Sky Racing [Associated with Speed, Strength, Stamina] This discipline is like normal racing, however, it is done completely in the air, with the Sindows feet only touching the ground in any form when things get a little rough. The track is set up with checkpoints that can be reached from the air. These checkpoints have flags. If a flag is missed, the Sindow and rider are disqualified.

Fishing [Associated with Patience, Acuity, and Speed] Gigan's are great at fishing, they love it. It was turned into a discipline when someone decided to make it a competition. Most of the time, it is done around the ocean or a large lake or river with fish big enough for the Gigan to catch without a problem. A type of fish and a time limit is given and the pair has to catch the fish in order to qualify.

Acrobatics [Associated with Agility, Patience, and Strength] This is kind of like airgility for Avians, but there is a rider present. The team must perform sets of acrobatics in the sky and on land. Obstacles are set up for them to avoid. They are judged by how well they perform their tricks in the time given.

Survival Trekking [Associated with Stamina, Strength, and Acuity] Sindow and rider must follow a course with checkpoints, checking in each night or every several days in order to keep going. This is a long survival treck, kind of like Endurance racing, but not as easy, the courses lasting weeks at a time. It's a test for both Sindow and rider.

Official Working Disciplines:

Search and Rescue
[Associated with Strength, Acuity, Stamina, Patience] Gigan's are rather large, but it's their aerial ability that really helps with Search and Rescue. They can get into places that helicopters can't and rescue stranded people, since they can carry several at a time. They can spot things from high up and alert ground crews as to where people are. They can also help move large bits of rubble or debris to get people out.

Street Showing Disciplines:

Street Racing: [Associated with Speed, Strength, Agility] Street Racing includes all types of Sindow. :iconthe-sindow-group:

A Sindows lifestyle directly effects how they live their life, what disciplines they can have, and what competitions they can compete in. There are two types of Sindow lifestyles.

Official (Registered):

When a Sindow is official, it means that it has been bred within standards according to the SREA. It does not have to be a competitor or even live a fancy lifestyle, if can be a simple pet. Official Sindows can only have Official Disciplines.

These Sindows are registered with the SREA on a basic level. It does not mean they are a automatically an SREA Member.

Unofficial/Street (Unregistered):

Unofficial or Street, both terms can be used. This is the opposite of official lifestyle. These Sindows are bred outside the SREA standards and are not recognized by the SREA. Street Sindows can only have street disciplines.

Typically Street Sindows are used for nefarious and illegal activities. However, they do not have to be. And despite the label 'street' things do not always have to occur in the city. Street is simply a term used because most illegal things happen where there are more people, the city. But events and such can be held in country settings as well.

.:History:.

Official vs. Unofficial: The Constant Battle

The SREA or Sindow Racing and Eventing Association is where the Sindow breed started. Breeding was done carefully and with strict guidelines (though, those are lessened now for the Official side as well). These Sindows are pure of line and have the best pedigree. Things on the official side are looked at as clean, legal, and grand. Though there are always schemes the official lifestyle is for those who don't want to worry about danger or illegal happenings. There are fines, docked points, and penalties for those who do not follow the rules.

On the Unofficial Side, there is the Mellavesa Family, a large and infamous street gang that keeps things running. They are in the business of all things illegal. Guns, drugs, and of course, smuggling Sindows and breeding them without registering with the SREA. Races and events are held with no real guidelines. You can pull tricks and such without getting penalized. The trickier you are, the better you are in Street terms. Disciplines such as pit fighting and hunting have become real bloodsports. Some may look at it as unsavory and terrible, but when it comes to the street, anything goes. You gotta be tough to survive.

The two sides do not get along. There are constant battles raging, thought not physical most of the time, the SREA is always trying to shut down the Mellavesa Family's 'business' but the Mellavesa family has connections in high places and a lot of paying off goes on unseen.  The Mellavesa family isn't looking to shut down the SREA, just antagonize them.

There is a stigma, street Sindows are dirty mongrels and official Sindows are clean purebreds. Street Sindows/people don't like official Sindows/people, but they will take joy in getting a prized official Sindow so the SREA can't use them. Official Sindows/people don't like Street Sindows/People, but the will accept those trying to get out of a life of crime.

Changing Sindows Lifestyle:

At any time, you may change your Sindows lifestyle! If you have a street Sindow, you may buy it papers or draw/write a piece of your Sindow. You may also add a lifestyle and use the Sindow in both sides of gameplay.

Papers are available in the shop!

Sometimes, each side can be lenient on who joins. If a Sindow can prove itself valuable, then they may be accepted.

:bulletgreen: BG and ID number will remain the same.
:bulletgreen: It's Lifestyle section in the Import will be updated and papers added to it's items!

Art/Writing Option:
This is a simple and easy way to change or add a lifestyle.

Changing from Official to Street or adding Street to Official: Draw or write about your Sindow taking part in a street disciplined event to prove it has guts.

Changing from Street to Official or adding Official to Street: Draw or write about your Sindow taking part in an official disciplined event to prove it can hang with any official Sindow.

Requirements:
- Art must be larger than 300 x 300 pixels
- Art must be colored, shaded, and have a BG
- At least 75% of the Sindow must be shown.
- Writing must be more than 1,000 words
- You may only depict ONE Sindow in the piece (this means the Sindow you're changing lifestyles for, you may include other 'filler' Sindows if it's in a race, but you don't have to)

:bulletgreen: There is no score or judging here. If your piece meets the requirements your Sindow will receive it's papers.

To Pay the vet, respond here: comments.deviantart.com/1/7341…

Sterilization:

Sterilization is the act of disabling your Sindow's ability to have offspring. Why do this? Well, it doubles each stat of your Sindow, making them great for showing and competing and bringing in the money! You may sterilize both female and male Sindows.

You may pull straws (info below) before you sterilize your Sindow, just in case you might want offspring from that Sindow.

Sterilization is PERMANENT! You will not be able to undo it once it is done! It should not be done out of spite either, as in taking a Sindow with rare genes and sterilizing it so that no one can have access to those genes. It'll also screw you over too because you won't be able to breed those rare genes.

What makes a good candidate for Sterilization? This Sindow may have okay stats and and be kind of plain, color wise. If you don't plan on breeding said Sindow, then it'd probably make a great show Sindow! I wouldn't sterilize a Sindow with great stats or it will not be able to pass them down to it's offspring.

:bulletgreen: It costs 10,000SC to sterilize your Sindow

To Sterilize your Sindow, respond here: comments.deviantart.com/1/7341…

Straw Pulling:

Straw pulling is the act of taking sperm or eggs from a Sindow, to use later for breeding purposes. This is typically done if you plan on sterilizing your Sindow, but are not sure if you want offspring from them either. Or from aging Sindows who cannot carry or produce offspring without risk.

- You may pull a MAX of 5 straws from your Sindow and those straws do not count against a breeding slots.

- When Straws are used, they contain the info from WHEN the straw was pulled, meaning this: Said straw is frozen in time from when it is pulled. Stats, genes, etc... used in the breeding will not be what your Sindow is currectly at, but from what it was at when the straw was pulled. This includes Rank (for litter count) as well!

- You can choose to sell straws as well.

Severe - 30 health (lacerations (large), broken bones, internal bleeding)

Does health affect anything?

Yes! If your Sindow is too injured, it will not be able to take part in breeding or certain activities. Here is the chart:

50-100% health = full participation in anything
30-49% health = barred from exploring, working, and showing as well as any group shows/competitions
20-39% health = barred from any of the above and breeding as well
0-29% health = sindow may not participate in any group activities including: Showing, working, exploring, breeding, monthly quests, any group event

How do I heal my Sindow?

Once your Sindow is injured, you may choose to heal it immediately or you may choose to wait and run the risk of it getting worse when you're Sindow gets injured again. You can heal your Sindow in a number of ways.

Drawing or Writing: Draw or write about your Sindow being treated by a vet. You do not have to depict the vets office, as vets can make house calls as well. You do not have to depict vet or handler, but the Sindow must look like it's being treated. So there has to be medical equipment around, a bandage on the Sindow, etc... drawing it sitting in the middle of a field (even with injuries) will not count.

- Each drawing gives +5 health!

- Healing images count as general art and need to meet certain requirements:

- Art must be larger than 300 x 300 pixels
- Art must have a background
- Art must be colored
- Writing must be more than 650 words
- You can depict up to 5 injured Sindows in one piece, as long as it makes sense.

Submit your healing piece(s) here: Healing Log

Healing Items: Right now, the only healing item is the Healing injection. It can be bought, found, or won and used by itself or in accompanyment of a healing image.

Healing Injections have a singular use that gives +10 health. So if you have more than one, we'll say you have three, they give +30 health total. Once they have been used, they disappear from your inventory.

To use healing items, comment here: Healing Log

Paying the Vet: You may also just pay the vet a fee of 5,000 SC per 5 Health and this may also be used with other methods as well. IF you plan on paying the vet for the whole healing, go to the vet journal below. If you plan on paying the vet for part of the healing, you must PAY THE VET FIRST! And then provide the proof in healing piece comment.

You can visit the vet here: The Vet:iconThe-Sindow-Group:

The Spring Festival is a holiday enjoyed and celebrated by Aurals from all over Najwa. They convene on the Festival grounds near Starfall Lake and join together in feasts and song. The Patron God of this event is Warrior Ryven, God of Spring and Water, but Eliora the Caretaker and Warrior Vidar, God of Nature are also celebrate!

Flowers are strung up from tree to tree. Many Aurals have their manes or fur adorned with plants or flowers. They may wear their best apparel to look good during the festival!

Nature Energy Aurals come early to the festival grounds to add flowers and plants of every kind, even those that don't normally grow in the plains and deciduous forest around Starfall lake.

This is a grand time for all, with spring on its way and the promise of new life. Old friends reconnect, neighboring clans enjoy their time, and some may steal away with a secret lover.

Main Event:

Pink Flower  Find the Flower Tokens Pink Flower

Ryven has dropped special tokens throughout the festival grounds. Aurals may stumble across them during their time there or even actively search for them. The top three Aurals who collects the most tokens will be reconized by Ryven himself and may be blessed by him, Warrior Vidar, or Caretaker Eliora. Ilan the Gatherer and Cressida the Hunter provide a bounty of food and forage in the area, so that Aurals do not dry out the land of animals and plants.

You can draw or write about your Aural(s) searching through the festival grounds for flower tokens or draw them taking part in festival activities listed below, they will find tokens in either situation. Each Aural depicted in the entry gets 3 rolls with 50% chance of picking up 1-10 flowers each time. If you do not pick up any flower tokens, you'll receive a small amount of Aural Tokens (group currency) or Foraging Items!

Typically, the weather is sunny and warm, small snow patches still remain in places, but spring has sprung. There are baby animals about and flowers are sprouting (native ones without the help of Nature Aurals). At night, fires and torches are lit, Fire Energy Aural will often light orbs of fire that float in a single place, not catching anything on fire. Most Aurals are in a good mood, interacting with others from other clans. Any Aural can arrive and be fed, so alot of malnourished Aurals will travel weeks to get to the festival grounds.

All duties are taken on by all, no matter the rank. Pups are watched by everyone. Elders are taken care of by everyone. All keep an eye out for trouble and warn the Najwarian Guard of any trouble. It's like one big collaborative clan with some outliers and baddies causing problems now and then.

Festival activities include but are not limited to:
- Hunting or Gathering for the feasts
- decorating the festival grounds with flowers
- setting up food or building fires
- Enjoying bounties of food
- singing or dancing around a large fire
- sleeping off all that food
- telling stories or listening to stories
- flirting
- guarding the festival grounds from Aurals looking to cause trouble
- enjoying the solitude of Starfall lake while the partying goes on in the distance (it's a sacred place, especially at night when the stars reflect over the lake)
- and if your Aural doesn't like flowers, fun, or flirting, it can be sitting off to the side contemplating evil, just being antagonistic, ripping decorations down, etc...

:bullletgreen: Put your own spin on these things, use your Aurals personality/backstory to really push why they do things the way they do during this festival. Don't be afraid to come up with a situation that's not on the list above, those are just suggestions to get people's creative juices flowing. Try not to do such things as mass murder, lighting the festival grounds on fire, or anything huge. Just make sure you explain what's going on in the devation description.

:bulletgreen: If you do not own an Aural, you can use a starter, or claim one from the newbie claim below!

Art/Writing Requirements:
- Art must be larger than 300 x 300 pixels
- Art must be clean, colored, and have a background
- Writing must be more than 800 words
- You may depict up to 3 Aurals in each piece, but they must have at least 50% of their body showing or have have more than three words of separate dialogue in Writing.

Rewards:
There will be three winners, the top three flower collectors. The person who collects the most will get first choice, the second will get second choice, and the third will get what's left.

- x1 Custom
(build, coat, horns, and base color up to you. Choose up to 5 markings total with a cap of 2 very rare, the rest can be anything you want.)
x1 Ryven's or Vidar's Blessing
(You can choose for an Aural of yours to get Water or Nature Energy)
x1 Eliora's Blessing
(for female Aurals only)

:bulletgreen: Anyone else can trade in their tokens for 200 AT a piece!

:bulletgreen: Everyone who participates will get a small shop item at the end of the event, this can be and of the 'strange' items.

:bulletred: Alot of Sindow imports still have the old system breakdown! IF you still have the old system breakdown and want it updated ASAP, note the group! The old system has the stats listed like this:

X Icon  INCORRECT (numbers are just examples)
Stamina: 0
Acuity: 6
Speed: 9
Strength: 1
Agility: 1
Patience:1

The NEW SYSTEM has them listed like this:

Checkmark Icon CORRECT:
17 St | 9 Ac | 10 Sp | 15 Str | 10 Ag | 18 Pa

:bulletred: So if your Sindow has the incorrect stat format, please note the group and i'll walk you through how your AP is counted and so on.

Stat Point Breakdown:

Stamina [St] - how long your Sindow can run
Acuity [Ac] - How smart your Sindow is
Speed [Sp] - how fast your Sindow is
Strength [Str] - how strong your Sindow is
Agility [Ag] - how nimble your Sindow is
Patience [Pa] - how tolerant your Sindow is

:bulletgreen: You can plan your Sindows personality out according to stats or have them act however you want. This meaning if your Sindow has a low acuity stat, you can make them dumb if you want. However, you do not have to. Stats do not officially correlate to your Sindows personality and skills.

Stat Point Levels:

Each stat has a base level of 8-20. (Stats are not totalled all together, they are counted separately). However, as you get competing and ranking up, your Sindow will start to gain more and more stat points. These levels aren't officially kept track of like ranks, but will be used to judge who competes against who in shows. Most shows will have designated sign up areas for 'Level 1 Sindows' etc... So pay attention to your core stats your Sindow will be disqulified from the show.

Level 1: 8-20 SSP in each core stat
Level 2: 21 - 44 in each core stat
Level 3: 45+ in each Core stat

What is a core stat?: These stats (usally a discipline has 2-4 core stats) are important for competing. Core stats pertain directly to your Sindows chosen discipline or disciplines. These are the ones that will be compared when your Sindow shows/competes. The others will have no sway to results.

Example: You have a Sindow that is disciplined in Sprint Racing. Spring Racings core stats are Speed, Strength, and Agility.

You have a Sindow that has 10 speed, 10 strength, and 33 Agility. It'll be counted as level 1. It must have 2 out of 3 stats in a level to count AS that level. so if it have 10 Speed, 43 strength, and 33 Agility, it'd be level 2.

How does this make or break your show results? If you have the 10, 10, 33 Sindow, you'll be competing with other level 1 Sindows. 10 is still low in level 1 terms, so the 33 in agility could bring your placing up. However, if you have the 10, 43, 33 Sindow, you'll be competing with other Level 2 Sindows. that low 10 could bring your placing down.

So, just make sure your Core stats are all of the same level before you compete!

Keeping Track of your Stats:

:bulletgreen: You will also need your tracker to keep track of your Sindows stats!

:bulletgreen: Each Sindow will be born with stats. These stats will be listed in their geno or if their already designed, in their import as INBORN stats. These are what they've directly inherited from their parents!

:bulletgreen: So, in your tracker journal you should keep track of your Sindows stats at the bottom. It is VERY important to keep up with your Sindows stat tracker and get your stats as soon as you have your AP approved or earn stats from shows/activities.

How it works:

Have your Inborn stats listed like this:

Inborn: 9 St | 13 Ac | 22 Sp | 11 Str | 9 Ag | 18 Pa
*they must be visibly in the tracker journal somewhere, not in a separate journal!

:bulletgreen: When you earn stats from ranking up. You will be told how many you earned and where they can go. The same thing with shows/comps. You will have an official admin comment saying what you earned.

:bulletgreen: You need your Official admin comment to get your stats approved and should have it linked in your tracker as well, so there is no mystery.

:bulletgreen: For an example, look here:

Getting your Stats Approved: Stat log of doom

respond to this link to get your stats approved. After they are approved, your Sindows import will be updated.

How Stats are passed to offspring:

Just thought I'd include this.

Stats are passed down between the parents range. So if parents have a range of 15 - 20 in the speed stat, then the offspring will be rolled from 15-20 in their speed stat.

:bulletgreen: Breedings are done from the CURRENT stats in the IMPORT SHEET! so, if you have stats (kept track of in your tracker) but have not gotten them approved, your Sindow will be bred with what is shown in the import.
:iconthe-sindow-group:

Below is a chart showing the percentage of which is which for headshot, bust, half body, half body, 70-80%, and full body. This is the same on all Sindows. The grey areas are the optional full body, but if they are cut off outside the image, then that is okay too. This is also used for art requirements when something asks for halfbody, 80% etc...

Standard art percent by ReapersSpeciesHub Gigan art percentage by ReapersSpeciesHub

ART

Smaller than 150 x 150 = 1 AP [no matter if it is colored, shaded etc...]

Headshot: 1 AP
Bust/Halfbody: 2 AP
Full Body: 3 AP

Sketch: +1 AP
Lined: +2 AP
Painterly: +3 AP (no lines, so don't count lines or sketch)

Color: +1 AP

Shading[Soft or Cell Shading Counts]

Simple Shading: +1 AP
 - One layer of shading or highlight, not very dynamic

Complex Shading: +2 AP
- Shading and Highlights, several layers of it

Background
- If there is no background don't add AP for a background
- Solid Color backgrounds or just simple pattern backgrounds do not count either

Simple: +1 AP
- There is no real depth, it's just flat color or low detail, or it doesn't encapsulate the whole Sindow

Complex: +2 AP
- Takes up whole picture, has shading and detail, and has depth.

Literature

Every 200 words = 1 AP

- Lit must be in English, please. Can be from handlers point of view or Sindows.
- In order for the lit to count for a Sindow, it must be mentioned at least three times and have some sort of impact on the story. A passing mention will not suffice.

Animation

- Take your art and add up what your animation is, like if it's a full body sketch, take the Art AP amount from a full body sketch, which is 3 AP. Then add this AP to it.

Simple: +2 AP per frame
- Eye blink, eat twitch, small movements

Complex: +4 AP per frame
- This is two or more parts moving in unison, including the full body

Bonus's

Featured Bonus: +10 AP
- If you're art shows effort, dynamic color, lighting, and overall impression, and I think it deserves to be in the featured folder, then you'll get +10 AP for all Sindows depicted in your amazing artwork. Literature can also make it to the featured folder if it is detailed, enthralling, and grammatically readable.

Handler Bonus: +2 AP
- For every piece of art that you add a handler to, that does not require a handler, you can add the handler bonus.

Other ARPG Species Bonus: +2 AP
- Spread the species love! Only counts if the the species is original, closed, and is considered ARPG (ex. shedu's, tokotas etc...). It doesn't matter if the groups are technically in different time periods. If you stick another species in there, then you get the bonus^^ If you question whether or not the species would count as a bonus, please ask.

Activity Bonus: +1 AP
- For Showing, Working, and Exploring pieces only

Training Bonus: +5 AP
- Your basic training, defect training, breeding certification, and career training pieces only (each piece gets the bonus)

Show Bonus: +3 AP
- For Monthly Shows or group shows (not holiday events)

Monthly Quest Bonus: +5 AP
- Monthly Quest pieces get +5 AP

Starter Bonus: +1 AP
- depict a starter in your art and earn +1 AP for your Sindow(s).

Personal Art Bonus: +1 AP
- If the art is done BY you of a Sindow YOU own, then this counts.

How to keep track of your Art Points:

To keep track of your AP, you need to make a tracker journal for your Sindow. It can be organized however you like, but it must have these things visible:

  • Sindows Import Sheet
  • Each Art or Lit piece done for the Sindow WITH the AP breakdown.
  • A total for ALL your AP.
  • The rank of your Sindow.

Activities: You will also need the tracker for activities such as showing, working, and exploring. You can have designated comments or separate journals for Admin to respond to with your results or just have them comment on the Sindows journal itself.

Examples: (these are examples from my own Sindows. I'm on the more organized side, so you can copy my format if you like) Blair's is pretty well filled out, Song's is pretty blank. Brighty's is in between.

What is Ranking Up?

Ranking up happens when you reach a certain AP threshold, meaning you've earned a certain amount of AP. AP is stacked, so any AP you earn goes towards the total AP and rank that your Sindow has.

Here is the Chart:

Novice: 0- 50 AP
Intermediate: 51 -100 AP
Advanced: 101-200 AP
Expert: 201-300 AP
Elite: 301-500 AP
Superstar: 501-700 AP
Infamous: 701+ AP

Your Sindow's rank will be listed in it's import sheet!

Rank up Rewards:

Each time your Sindow Ranks up, it will get a reward of Stat Points (SSP) and/or an increase in litter count, and/or gene pass rate.

Reaching 50 AP:+2 SSP to any stat
Reaching 100 AP: +2 SSP to any stat
Reaching 200 AP: +2 SSP to any stat that you have not add SSP to in the previous to rank-ups
Reaching 300 AP: +3 SSP - cannot add all 3 to the same stat
*** Also, reaching 300 AP will increase your litter count from 1-4 to 2-5!
Reaching 500 AP +4 SSP to any stat - cannot add all 4 to the same stat
Reaching 700 AP +4 SSP to any stat - cannot add all 4 to the same stat, cannot add SSP to the same stats you added SSP to for Elite
Reaching 750+: +5 SSP to any stat - cannot add all 5 to the same stat
*** Also, reaching 750+ SSP grants you 'gold litters' which have 15% added to gene pass rate

Getting AP Approved:

- You have to get your AP approved if you want your Sindow to rank up. This is why you keep track of it's AP^^

- Getting your AP approved is easy! Just make sure you have all your Art/writing gathered in your Sindows tracker and then respond to the link below.

- It's easiest and makes the most sense to wait until you have reached a threshold to submit your AP for approval. You shouldn't skip more than two thresholds.

Now, you've learned about AP, it's time to learn about Stats and Stat Points (SSP): [link coming soon]

:iconthe-sindow-group:

What is the Log System?

The Log System is the series of comments on your Sindows import sheet. It is typically taken care of by admin, save for a couple things: breeding reservations and geno ownership transfer, these two things are taken care of by the owner of the Sindow. You may also post your Sindows tracker underneath the LOG comment.

You can take a look at Arie here and check out how her Log is set up:
CRS Arachnophobia (#494) by ReapersSpeciesHub

:bulletgreen: Again, you only comment on the log system to reserve a breeding slot for another user to your Sindow. You will also only comment on the log system to transfer a geno that your female Sindow has produced to another user. And again you can post your tracker under the log.

Trainings: Any training your Sindow does will be posted here by Admin with their score IF the training is scored!

Breedings: This is where your breedings are posted and where you make your slot reservations.

Breeding Certification: DO NOT respond to this comment with your breedings. This for admin to post your breeding certification pieces and score!

Items: Any permanent items are put here (by admin!). You do not post the item to your Sindow.

Achievements: Ownership updates as well as AP (Rank up) updates are put here.

Show Entries: Anything done for Monthly shows are put here.

Examples of Breeding slot reservations:

comments.deviantart.com/1/6534… (this is the old layout, so you'll be responding DIRECTLY to the Breedings comment.)

- It's a big help to you and the person using the slot for you to put what the slot is for (trade, gift, purchased) and if they should let you know before breeding plus any other breeding agreements, like who gets first pick etc...

:bulletgreen: ALL discussions about breedings, who gets what offspring, etc... should be done anywhere but the actual import sheet. DO NOT have conversations in the log system.

Examples of Ownership Transfer:

comments.deviantart.com/1/4779…

:bulletgreen: Again, all discussions about ownership should be done elsewhere. Don't have discussions in the Log system.
:iconthe-sindow-group:

Before you get started in the group, it's best you take a look at this FAQ. This will give you all the basic information about Sindows, how to get one, owning them, and selling them, as well as what would happen if you were to deactivate your account or go on hiatus.

:bulletgreen:General Behavior Rules:bulletgreen:

:bulletblack: Be respectful of other players and admin.
:bulletblack: Racist, profane, and otherwise degrading language/behavior will not be tolerated.
:bulletblack: Just be a decent human being, that's all I ask.
:bulletblack: If you ever have an issue with myself (ReapersMenagerie) or other admin, please note me personally. I'll try to resolve it the best I can.

:bulletred: Warning System:bulletred:
- If you are found to be breaking any of the rules, above or below, you will be warned/contacted and nicely told that this is the rule you're breaking, please don't do it again. People make mistakes, don't read, or don't fully understand, so I'm not going to yell at anyone for making a mistake.

- After this, you get a second warning that'll be stern, you've been told once. If you get a third warning, you'll be given a choice. Shape up or leave. After this, if rules are broken, you'll be kicked out and your Sindows will be rehomed.

:bulletred:Reporting People:bulletred:
- If you see someone who is being insulting/profane to another user, please note the group or me ReapersMenagerie personally.

- If you see someone breaking rules, again, note the group or myself.

- Please don't take care of problems yourself if you're not involved with them directly in the first place. If you see it, report it, don't step in and try to correct it. If you are involved with a dispute with another member, you can choose to try and resolve it yourself or just note the group or myself and I'll try to resolve the situation.

- Any reporting will be left anonymous. You will not be brought into anything.

:bulletgreen:What is a Sindow?:bulletgreen:

:bulletblack: Sindows are a closed original species by ReapersMenagerie and they are used for ARPG, or art role paying game. Most activities you will do for your Sindow will be done through art or writing.

:bulletblack: There are many types of Sindow. Depending on the type, the size will differ. Some are ridable, some are not.

:bulletblack: Sindow's also have a detailed genetic system that determines what they look like and what their offspring will look like.

You can find out more about the individual species of Sindow here: Types of Sindow

:bulletgreen:Owning a Sindow:bulletgreen:

:bulletblack: Sindows are not free to create unless you're just joining the group and create one through the Creation Lab.

:bulletblack: You must be a member, not just a watcher, of The-Sindow-Group to own a Sindow.

:bulletblack: There are no activity requirements for owning a Sindow.

:bulletblack: There is no limits on how many Sindows you can own.

:bulletblack: Sindows cannot be used outside of dA. You must have a dA account in order to own one. You may draw and post to other art sites etc..., but you cannot use them if you don't have dA account.

:bulletgreen:Selling or Trading your Sindow:bulletgreen:

:bulletblack: At any time you can sell your Sindow or any Sindow geno you may own.

:bulletblack: You can sell them for anything you see fit. Once it's yours, you may sell it for dA points, cash, Sindow coins, other ARPG currency, etc....

:bulletblack: As long as you follow all rules in the Log system journal about how to go about selling your Sindows, you'll be good to go.

:bulletblack: You can't trade your Sindow for any non-arpg species. Only ARPG species, please.

:bulletblack: You can't sell your Sindow to anyone offsite. As stated above, you need to have a dA account to own a Sindow.

:bulletgreen:Account Deactivation or Hiatus:bulletgreen:

:bulletblack: Since Sindow's cannot be owned or RP'd with off sight, deactivating your account will cause you to lose all your Sindows, customs or not.

:bulletblack: You cannot put a Sindow in 'storage' it doesn't work like that. If you're deactivating your account, whether you let me know or not, you will lose ownership of all your Sindows.

:bulletblack: You may give your Sindows to a friend, sell/trade them, or donate them to the group before deactivation so that you know where they've gone. If you make an account again sometime in the future and that friend wants to give them back, they can. But selling/trading or donating the group is permanent, you will not get them back.

:bulletblack: If you go on hiatus and keep your account up, open, and accessible, then you will not lose your Sindows, even if don't check in all that often, or ever again. However, if it's obvious you've left dA, made a journal, etc... yet still keep the account open AND have not told me about your leaving, then the Sindows will be rehomed, but that's only if I notice.

:bulletblack: To me, a hiatus may entail that you are coming back. An account deactivation is just an up and done and I can't tell if you're coming back or not, so, you lose your ownership rights.

:bulletgreen:Active account vs Dead Account:bulletgreen:

:bulletblack: So, this also seems to be a common occurrence. People join dA, stick around for a week and then deactivate. To prevent myself from having to rehome Sindows because people are being trolls, ignorant, or just completely indecisive, you need to have been a member of dA for 1 month, have uploaded at least 3 original deviations. Reposts of art others have done for you, reposts of any sort (I've seen people repost quotes they've found on google), and pre made anything, like re-colored adoptables do not count. The original deviations can be art, literature or photography (this counts photos of sculptures that you've done and what not). **The exception to this is if you've just created an ARPG account, second account, etc... and/or you've gotten personal works uploaded you don't have to be month old. If you are just creating a new account/ARPG account I need proof of the old or first account.

*Now, to prevent more ignorance, you have to actually look like you're serious about dA. Don't take a picture of your foot, your couch, and your dog, post them, ask to get a Sindow, and then deactivate your account anyway just to be that person.

:bulletblack: A dead account is someone who has been a part of dA longer than a month, but has 0-2 deviations, no profile picture, and hasn't logged on in over 3 months. This type of account to me is unpredictable and I don't like my species going off to sit and rot.

:bulletblack: An active account is someone who's uploaded deviations (their own personal works) and has been doing so for at least a week.

:bulletred: If I feel the need, I will note you or comment on your page whether or not you want to keep your Sindows. I will only do this if I generally feel the need to.

:bulletgreen:ARPG accounts and Moving Accounts:bulletgreen:

:bulletblack: If you have multiple accounts, you must designate one to your Sindow ownership. This can be your main, adoptable, or side account. This can also be your ARPG species account, which would be the best account to designate ownership to.

:bulletblack: Designating ownership to one account means you own the Sindow with this account and upload artwork of that Sindow on the same account. This keeps things simple and direct so that I'm not scouring a bunch of different accounts trying to figure out who uploaded art and who actually owns the Sindow.

:bulletblack: If you move accounts or want to designate your Sindow ownership to another account, you must note the group and let me know. If you don't do this, whether purposefully or not, I will ask if you want to keep your Sindows.

:bulletgreen:Quitting:bulletgreen:

:bulletblack: If over time you decide that you no longer want to be a part of the Sindow community, don't have time for Sindows, etc... you can throw in the towel at any time. I will not get mad so don't feel bad or feel like you're giving up. You can sell or give away your Sindows or you can note the group if you don't feel like dealing with any of it and the group will rehome your Sindows. However, they will always be for DTA or raffle and you will not get a cent if you do it this way.

If you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns, please let me know!
